How it all started:
In 2010 the founder, Jeremy Collins – a children’s pastor from Bethel Harvest Church in Nicholasville, KY, was getting prepared to travel to Atlanta Georgia to attend the Orange Conference. Jeremy called a few of his children’s pastor friends that he had originally meet at the 2009 Orange Conference to see if they could hook up once they were there and to his surprise most of them were unable to attend due to ministry finances. After getting back from the Orange Conference Jeremy was very burdened by they fact that financially there were so many ministry leaders unable to attend and here some of the best messages available from top Children’s Ministry Leaders.
Jeremy, being not only a Children’s Pastor but also owning his own media company, started emailing some of the speakers from some of the top Children’s Ministry Conference and asked them if they would be willing to submit an audio message for the first ever Online FREE Children’s Ministry Conference. Jeremy, not knowing any of the speakers personally, had no idea if any would respond let alone be interested in the concept. To his surprise almost all of them replied with a yes. So the Children’s Ministry Websummit was changed its name in 2011 to the Children’s Ministry Websummit.
After a very successful Children’s Ministry Websummit had over 1800 Children’s Ministry pastors, volunteers, and ministry leaders attend from over 18 different countries the need for this type of ministry conference was proven. Because all the conferences were held for free and you could attend them from your own computer from the comfort of your own home and even at night – in your pajamas- the name Pajama Conference stuck.
Since its creation Pajama Conference has held over 6 different ministry Conferences and has reached over 6,000 ministry leaders from over 24 different countries.
